Job Description:

The Business Management Analyst for the Global Corporates Team plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, strategic initiatives, and business performance whilst promoting clear governance and controls.

Engagement with the Global Businesses & Functions is key to ensure a coordinated approach and alignment to Group objectives. The role will also represent GC (as a point of contact) with Functions and Global Businesses as deemed appropriate.

Activities

  • Engage with product partners globally across Global Trade Solutions, Global Payment Solutions, Global Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Payroll
  • Accelerate engagement with the key corridors, and support in oversight the client’s onboarding process
  • Partner with colleagues across the HSBC network to deliver exceptional standards and quality of service
  • Share best practice and monitor performance metrics and results across products and geographies
  • Promote a financial risk and compliance culture within the business and alignment to Group policies and practices
  • Propose, coordinate and lead inputs to key strategic initiatives for GC and various business transformation activities, including the development of related business cases
  • Support in the design and coordination of papers/presentations requested by Global Corporate teams, Global Businesses or Functions for regional/ country stakeholders
  • Support in the coordination of the strategy, execution, management, and reporting of all GC business processes including rollout / maintenance of standard tools, targets, performance tracking, operating models, sales processes, people agenda and governance
  • Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenge actions and behaviors that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers
  • Contribute to the changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best practice
  • Communicate and adhere to HSBC policy and procedures in order to ensure good operational, financial and project management, policy and procedural compliance and early identification and effective resolution or escalation of issues that arise
  • Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of Global Corporates management information, data quality, analysis, and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels
  • Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of the application of Global Corporates policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory
  • Develop in depth business and financial analysis of external and internal performances of the portfolio as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Intermediate to advance level in MS Office requested
  • Advanced level of English for written and oral communications requested
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify risks and contribute to decision making process
  • Familiarity with business, industry, and market analysis desirable
  • Familiarity with financial KPIs and P&L desirable.
  • Sound understanding of Corporate Banking & Markets products and its operating processes desirable.
  • Sound understanding of HSBCs policies desirable.
