The Vice president, Capital Markets and Advisory Leverage and Acquistion Finance Mexico supports the Director in originating, structuring, and executing Syndicated Loans and Acquisition Financing transactions. The objective of the role is to deliver innovative, high-value financing solutions that meet clients’ needs, grow HSBC’s share of wallet, and generate sustainable returns, while ensuring strong stakeholder collaboration and full compliance with internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Being the primary support for the Director, whereby the successful applicant will help in the origination and be responsible for the structuring and execution of Syndicated Loans and Acquisition Financing.
  • The Vice president should take the lead on transactions, standing in for Banking Directors and Sector Heads and Leads where necessary.
  • Establish a holistic understanding of clients’ needs and deliver innovative, high-value solutions across all Investment Banking products (Capital Markets and Advisory) lines, gaining a significant share of clients’ wallet and sustainable returns for the Group.
  • Meet clients to provide market knowledge and expertise, as well as high-level sector knowledge and insights.
  • Take a proactive approach to follow-up activities jointly with the Capital Markets and Advisory team (arranging pipeline meetings, account planning, using the CME platform, etc) to foster origination of new business.
  • The applicant should have availability to travel within Mexico and abroad to attend client meetings in Mexico City and the main hubs of IMM, and when required, to assist and collaborate with colleagues outside Mexico.

Internal/External stakeholder management:

  • Drive proactive connectivity and collaboration between Capital Markets and Advisory product partners, Banking, Sector, and other Global Businesses in order to deliver maximum value of HSBC products and services to our existing and prospective clients.
  • Ensure that Leverage and Acquistion Finance Mexico operates in accordance with HSBC’s internal lending and other guidelines, controls, and procedures, in addition to any external regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain trusted relationships with Banking teams and Senior Management to drive origination opportunities and client engagement.
  • Build the Capital Markets and Advisory reputation in the marketplace.

Requirements:

  1. At least 10 years of experience in similar roles (Syndicated Loans, DCM, or Structured Finance).
  2. Degree in Finance, Economics, or Engineering, given the high level of technical skills required.
  3. MBA is a plus for this position.
  4. The role is 100% on-site, and the candidate must have flexibility to travel.
  5. The candidate should be fluent in English oral and written.
