Role purpose 

Responsible for managing the technology project portfolio for Currents Accounts and Customers and acting as a liaising with the Transformation, Business, Systems, and Regulatory (Risk, Compliance, Legal, Tax) teams, including (but not limited to) the following functions:

• Lead the holistic design of the product or solution, coordinating projects for their development and implementation with cross-functional work teams, aligned with HSBC's global offering to ensure functionality for the client while maintaining profitability for the institution.

• Monitoring and validating the allocation and management of technology project budgets.

• Coordinating and implement agile methodologies within work plans, resource management, risk management, communication, and the preparation of status reports to meet the project portfolio's objectives and achieve the commercial strategy and financial goals for the product.

• Design, implement, and manage tools for the development and continuous improvement of technology and operational processes throughout the product lifecycle, including origination, operation, and post-sales service of the product or solution.

• Coordinate, identify, and drive continuous improvement in project management and execution, aligned with the Bank's methodology.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities  
• Ensure the timely and functional implementation, optimization, and fulfillment of technology projects.
• Ensure the proper use of resources and budget allocated to technology projects.
• Ensure the analysis and implementation of appropriate and agile solutions that enable the business to grow technologically and offer processes and functionalities to meet customer needs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and internal governance of the products and projects

• Leadership and performance management of the team of managers under their supervision.
• Close collaboration and synergy with local and global teams in Product, Front Office, Back Office, Technology, Transformation, Digital, Risk, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Audit.
• Representing the Product or Solutions teams in various forums and committees (local and global) as required.

Functional Knowledge
•    Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred but not required) with a focus on Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
•    Strong analytical and process skills
•    Knowledge and experience in technology projects and process solution implementation
