The Collections Product Owner within Global Payment Solutions is responsible for the comprehensive management of all aspects related to Collections products. This pivotal role sits at the heart of the Collections team, providing leadership and making informed decisions across a range of product areas, including revenue generation, book of work, budget management, regulatory compliance, risk management, operational resilience, process and product design, customer solutions, and key performance indicator analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the product roadmap in alignment with the bank’s strategic objectives, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Client-Centric Development: Identify customer needs and translate these into product features that enhance the client experience and drive product adoption.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products adhere to relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and support teams, including Legal, Risk and Compliance, Technology, Operations, and Marketing, to deliver optimal product outcomes.
  • Go-to-Market & Commercial Enablement: Develop and support go-to-market strategies, including pricing models, onboarding processes, and educational materials.
  • Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyse product KPIs to identify opportunities for product development and commercial growth.
  • Innovation & Ecosystem Engagement: Pursue partnerships, integrations, and collaborations to expand product use cases and enhance value.
  • Project Management: Lead project management activities to deliver both discretionary and regulatory initiatives, ensuring all risk and compliance requirements are met.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate and mitigate risks through established governance frameworks.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure effective product operation in partnership with Operations stakeholders.
  • Global Collaboration: Maintain strong relationships with regional and global HSBC product teams.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of collections is essential.
  • Experience in project management is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
