Payments and Collections Regulatory and Governance

Objectives:
- Performing product activities related to regulatory initiatives.
- In second order perform product activities for non-regulatory initiatives.
- Enhance Governance of CTB to ensure proper escalation and follow up of relevant risk documentation.
- Managing time threats to regulatory portfolio and mitigate risks using a holistic approach for both regulatory and non-regulatory initiatives ensuring end to end execution.
Key Activities:
- Ensure requirements are stated and make sure all involved teams (IT, RS, OPS) have the correct understanding of regulatory standard to avoid deviations.
- Participate in Planning events to ensure proper execution.
- Supporting discovery tasks related to product from regulatory and operational input, oversight of solution design in order to meet regulatory gap closure.
- Following up development and testing product related tasks, ensuring dependencies are sorted and support is given. Regulatory activities such as certification follow up is also required.
- Go live and post- implementation activities such as Production testing.
- Customer front product activities are considered including communications and customer operational changes and impact assessment.
- Budget management and oversight.
- Effective follow-up on MSIIs and relevant forums from Product perspective.
- Track the progress of actions and activities.
- Ensure that all initiatives are aligned with GPS and the HSBC Risks, from product perspective.
- Report on the impact and effectiveness of these initiatives.
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in project management roles/areas.
- Experience in product roles/areas (preferably Payments), as the position will lead cross-product initiatives.
- Advanced English.
- Ability to work under pressure with a high level of autonomy (results-driven self-management), and the ability to learn on the job.
- Strong multitasking skills, as the role will require managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of the payments regulatory framework.
- Process automation and efficiency improvement skills (desirable).
- Analytical and database management skills (desirable).
