Role purpose

  • Monitor communication strategies for various businesses and functions, as well as global campaigns and projects.
  • Contribute to the management of critical projects and processes within the area.
  • Develop stories to communicate global, regional, and local messages internally within the organisation, ensuring effective written communication.
  • Ensure networking activities at both local and regional levels.
  • Identify areas of opportunity in the management of projects and processes within the area.
  • Evaluate and develop comprehensive communication strategies to disseminate the bank’s strategic messages, as well as those of the business areas or global functions to which you may be assigned as a business partner.
  • Supervise and/or manage the different communication channels within the Internal Communications area.
  • Oversee the management of the area’s supplier portfolio.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective and measurable communication strategies to share global, regional, and local messages with employees.
  • Supervise alignment of campaigns with business objectives and brand standards.
  • Design the area’s organisational effectiveness strategy, taking into account available resources.
  • Ensure advisory support on effective communication strategies for the various areas.
  • Actively participate in the transformation of HSBC’s culture.
  • Increase employee engagement and drive action.
  • Support areas in repositioning themselves.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications (preferably with a completed degree) and 2+ years of experience.
  • Key project management and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of communication channels.
  • Risk identification.
  • Organisational communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Advanced Skills:

  • Excellent spelling, writing, and summarising skills.
  • Knowledge of corporate communications, internal communications, below-the-line advertising, production of materials, and media planning.
  • Ability to present comprehensive briefs to suppliers, different areas of the bank, and the team in general.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Effective time management.
  • Assertiveness and ability to build positive, long-term relationships.
  • Capacity for informed decision-making within your area of responsibility.
  • Global vision with attention to detail; strategic thinking reflected in tactical actions.
  • Ability to prioritise according to the type of activities.
  • Creative thinking for the development of messages and campaigns.
