Role purpose:

Lead the development of segment and customer-level financial insights to support strategic decision-making across IWPB Business.

This role is responsible for embedding a data-driven approach within Finance, leveraging Customer Profitability, advanced analytics, and business intelligence to enhance revenue quality, optimize resource allocation, and support the business strategy towards target segments.

Act as strategic partner to business leaders by translating data into actionable insights, enabling a deeper understanding of performance by segment, customer behaviour, and product profitability.

Support efficiency of the function through the demise of non-standard management information and constantly seek to streamline processes.

Support team members in the implementation of key initiatives and projects and work to develop soft skills and technical competency for professional growth.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and governance of segment and customer-level P&L views, ensuring alignment with official financials and strategic frameworks.
  • Drive the evolution and adoption of Customer Profitability as a core decision-making tool across Finance and Business.
  • Generate actionable insights on customer behaviour, segment performance, and product profitability to support revenue growth and optimization initiatives.
  • Partner with business and product teams to evaluate commercial initiatives, ensuring focus on true incremental value.
  • Support the IWPB Strategy through deep analysis of customer mix, value pools, and profitability drivers. 
  • Develop advanced analytics and reporting capabilities, including dashboards and performance tracking at segment and customer level.
  • Ensure consistency of financial drivers, allocation methodologies, and data integrity across analytics outputs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize cot and revenue allocation, improving transparency and decision-making quality.
  • Lead and develop a team focused on data analytics, financial modelling, and business insight generation.
  • Collaborate with Data and CRM teams to enhance data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.

Functional Knowledge

  • Strong experience in Finance, ideally within banking or financial services (+ 8 years of experience)
  • Deep understanding of customer profitability, segment economics, and product-level financial drivers
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to connect financial insights to business outcomes.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including data modelling, financial modelling, and interpretation of large datasets.
  • Proven experience in data-driven decision making and business insight generation.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Business, Data, Technology)
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in leading teams and driving transformation initiatives
