Position Overview
Equity Research Analyst will be responsible for analyzing listed companies to provide investment recommendations to institutional and private investors. Moreover, will work with Senior Associates and Analysts in various product areas within the Americas in learning to follow and analyze industry news flow, review SEC filings and other sources of financial information, develop and maintain earnings and valuation models, conduct research with industry and secondary sources as well as draft reports on relevant investment topics.
The role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive approach, understanding of financial markets, financial modeling, understanding of valuation methodologies, and high ethical standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and write industry research, including investment recommendations
- Develop and maintain financial models
- Follow and analyze industry news flow
- Participate in earnings calls, meetings with corporates, and client meetings
- Keep industry data files up to date
Qualifications
- BA/BS, all majors are considered; finance or economics is a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking, or related is a plus
- Superior quantitative, analytical, written, communication, and leadership skills are essential
- High level of proficiency in Excel
- CFA Level 1 or 2 is a plus
- Strong English language skills are required. Other language skills are a plus.
