Role Purpose

The main objective of the Recruiter is to attract, assess, and select qualified candidates based on technical skills, competencies, and values aligned with HSBC. This role is crucial in identifying and acquiring top talent in the market, directly contributing to the company’s growth and success. Recruiters also facilitate the hiring process, ensuring an excellent experience for both candidates and hiring managers, while strictly always adhering to HSBC’s internal policies and procedures.

Main activities

  • Identify, screen, and attract qualified candidates for GCIO, GCOO, and Functions roles through job boards, professional networks, and targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with Hiring Managers in Technology, Operations, and Functional areas to understand role requirements and craft precise job advertisements.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies tailored to the unique needs of GCIO, GCOO, and Functions, ensuring access to top-tier talent in highly competitive markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential candidates and industry professionals, proactively managing talent pipelines for current and future needs.
  • Conduct interviews using the STAR method to evaluate candidates’ technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit with HSBC’s values.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the TALEO system, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
  • Uphold legal and HSBC policy requirements, promoting fairness and equal opportunity throughout the recruitment process.
  • Deliver a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience, providing clear communication and timely follow-up at every stage.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Human Resources (Recruitment).
  • Experience in the financial, insurance, or banking sector.
  • Experience with recruitment systems (ATS) and job boards.
  •  Working with onshore and offshore teams.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
