Protective Security Manager

Role purpose

The Protective Security Manager is required to implement Controls through Physical Countermeasures, Electronic Countermeasures (CCTV & Electronic Access Controls) , Access Management, Guard Force Operations and Executive Protection/Travel Security/Event Security to achieve optimum Control Environment . This to ensure Business at the site operates securely. 

Principal Accountabilities

  • Ensure Systems are compliant with Group and Regional standards.  Conduct bi-annual review/report on the effectiveness and working operation of all countermeasures as directed.
  • Responsible for, and control over (to include authorized usage/password management) electronic access control, intrusion detection, security video, and visitor management systems.
  • Ensure protection, management and audit of all site access cards and badges.
  • Ensure that data retention as prescribed.
  • Monitor and ensure that all contract guard services are compliant with Group and Regional standards, and that contract guard service providers are meeting their Contractual obligations per the Scope of Work.  Manage the Service Level Agreements, Deployment Schedule, Guard Selection, and attend regular meetings with vendors.
  • Develop and maintain post orders specific to each guard position.
  • Deliver all Group and Regional guard training, documenting dates, attendees, topics, etc. monthly.
  • Identify and document any local risks (crime, terrorism, etc.) and develop specific training/countermeasures to protect against them.
  • Ensure compliance with employee traveler policy.

What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)

  • Planning and organizing skills and ability to handle emergency situations.
  • Candidate with overall security experience of eight to ten years with minimum four years’ experience in handling physical security in an organization.  Practical experience & knowledge of access control, electronic surveillance system, managing the guarding manpower, budgeting, liaison with civic authorities and basic computer skills are a must. Candidate to be fluent with MS office and other basic computer functioning required for routine office functioning.
  • Good interpersonal skills, decision making, and customer service orientation.
  • Good communication skills – English and local language
  • Past experience in people and resource management.
  • Ability to assimilate information and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
