We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
Production Support Manager
Role purpose
- The potential candidate will have dual responsibilities as an Individual Contributor and as a Team Lead.
Main activities:
- In the Individual Contributor role, the individual will:
- Day-to-day support in FTP North America production systems.
- Monitor production environment and applications and provide level 1 support to ensure high performance and availability.
- Knowledge of Incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, resolution and reporting.
- Follow up with local and Core teams on source system processing.
- The nature of the role may require a close working contact with Regional IT and CTO colleagues across the Group, globally.
- Providing production updates in daily turnover calls.
- Experience working in Control-M/UNIX is mandatory and knowledge on Datastage/Peoplesoft will be added advantage.
- Individual will be responsible for vulnerability management. Including reporting, patching and encouraging automation of such activity
- In the team Lead role, the individual will:
- MX based team members of the US Core Ledgers Application
- Ensure team remains motivated
- Manage top time and various line management duties
- Ensure compliance with training and local procedures
Requirements
- -Bachelor’s Degree required, engineering/technical degree preferred
- - Minimum of 7 years of hands-on application development/production support experience, Oracle, DB2, Service Management, ShellScripting, Patching, Onpremise
- - Must have recent hands-on experience.
- - Must be able to apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot batch issues. Level 1 debugging is required.
- - This is an interactive position, and you will have to deal with a multitude of technical individuals, individual must have good written and verbal communication skills are required.
