We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of
MSS Analyst.
The role entails to providing efficient excellent processing services for trade validation, confirmation, settlement of transactions, post settlement queries & related services to Markets and Securities Services (MSS) Operations for Bermuda across all asset classes, i.e. GFX, Derivatives, Fixed Income and collateral management.
To ensure Operational risk is reduced through streamlined processes and provide efficient service without any operational losses in the region. Timely and efficient escalation of issues though best practice channels. The role will enable MSS Operations to operate against the objectives of relationship management with stakeholders, interface into strategic transformation program and project management. The challenging risk environment requires effective processing support towards achieving a robust control environment and meeting business requirements.
Activities
• To ensure all trade validations and settlements are processed prior to the respective settlement dates across all asset classes.
• To provide high quality support services to MSS Bermuda as well as external customers.
• To validate and settle transactions across all asset classes.
• To ensure zero PLA breaches & operational loss
• To regularly review procedures and controls for existing products to ensure group standards are maintained.
• Continuous process improvements.
• To ensure all transactions are settled prior to designate currency cut off and in accordance with the Payment Transparency guidelines (PT).
• Identify problem situations and proactively resolved and escalated to give maximum customer satisfaction. Appropriate measures are taken to improve quality and prevent recurrence.
• To ensure compliance with all current audit recommendations and FIM requirements by carrying out periodic operational reviews and ensuring that no lapses have occurred.
• Obtain knowledge of new products and developments in existing products as they are documentation intensive and it is critical that the jobholder reviews the terms & conditions carefully to ensure that the products are appropriately captured and processed correctly.
Qualifications:
• Computer literacy, intermediate knowledge of MS Excel a must. Working knowledge of MS Outlook and Word.
• Must have strong overall knowledge of US Domestic fixed income settlement operations process
- Proven experience in a related role
- Settlements operations expertise is nice to have
- FX and money market knowledge is nice to have
