What you will do:

HSBC is looking for a specialist to design and deliver structured trade and working capital solutions for corporate and institutional clients across Europe. You’ll work at the intersection of client needs, international trade and structured finance-helping clients secure funding for eligible cross-border projects and transactions while balancing commercial objectives, risk discipline and execution certainty.

Partnering with Front-Line Sales, Coverage, Product, Credit, Legal, Operations and Implementation teams, you’ll take opportunities from initial idea through approval to execution.

This is a role for someone who can connect the dots: understanding client flows, identifying risks, shaping mitigants and delivering commercially sustainable solutions.

In this role you will:

• Structure solutions across trade finance and working capital, including  import/export finance, receivables discounting, supply chain finance, Asset Based Lending, Inventory finance, any open account solutions).
• Construct and support the structuring of ECA-backed financing solutions for eligible international transactions and projects
• Support revenue delivery against Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets while maximising client outcomes.
• Advise Front-Line Sales and Coverage teams on complex transactions and strategic clients.
• Analyse client needs, map transaction flows, identify risks and develop clear, executable structures.
• Partner with Product Management to identify gaps and strengthen the regional offering.
• Build and share technical expertise in Open Account solutions across multiple geographies.
• Prepare high-quality term sheets, credit papers, client proposals, transaction-flow diagrams and implementation plans.

You should apply if you have:

• Extensive global Trade Finance experience as well as ECA Finance, ideally gained in a multinational financial environment.
• A strong track record of closing large-ticket structured Trade Finance transactions.
• Deep knowledge of Working Capital management, Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance and Open Account propositions.
• Experience in areas such as pre-export finance, commodity finance or other structured solutions.
• Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working across international markets and with Global Multinational Corporates.
• A sound understanding of market trends affecting Open Account solutions.
• The ability to navigate complex legal discussions and manage cross-functional delivery.
• Confidence working independently across multiple assignments and culturally diverse teams.
• A collaborative mindset, commercial judgement and the discipline to balance client needs with risk and returns.
