Equity Derivatives and Structured Products Sales

At HSBC, our purpose is opening up a world of opportunity and by joining our team, you can be part of something bigger! We are committed to removing barriers and ensuring careers at HSBC are inclusive and accessible.

Being part of HSBC in France, you’ll help evolve and grow our Markets & Securities Services business serving wealth managers and distributors across Continental Europe. Are you passionate about derivatives and structured solutions? Do you have a strong commercial mindset and enjoy building long‑term client partnerships? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you!

What you will do:

In this Sales role, you will cover private banks and structured products distributors in France and Benelux, originating and executing derivatives and structured solutions that address clients’ investment needs. You will strengthen HSBC’s strategic relationships, drive new business and be accountable for revenue targets, while ensuring an excellent client experience throughout the full trade life cycle and operating to the highest risk, conduct and compliance standards

In this role you will:

  • Develop, deepen and maintain relationships with private banks and structured products distributors in France and Benelux, acting as a trusted advisor on derivatives and structured solutions.
  • Price structured notes and equity derivatives, designing bespoke and standardised derivatives/structured solutions to meet clients’ risk/return objectives and constraints.
  • Manage the full trade life cycle end‑to‑end, including term‑sheet preparation, pricing, trade booking, secondary market support and post‑trade follow‑up.
  • Onboard new clients, proactively identify and convert new business opportunities, and be accountable for delivering on the sales and revenue targets of your client portfolio.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and new projects (e.g. digital tools, automation, process enhancements) to improve client experience and sales efficiency.
  • Be a strong team player, actively contributing to a supportive and collaborative team culture: share information openly, assist senior Sales in the team in the back‑up and follow‑up of their business, provide coverage to colleagues when needed, and work closely with Product, Trading, Legal, Tax, Compliance and other stakeholders on regulatory and governance topics.

You should apply if you have:

  • A solid background in derivatives and/or structured products, with proven exposure to selling solutions to private banks and structured products distributors.
  • Strong technical understanding of investment products (e.g. structured notes, options and derivatives pay‑offs), including key risk, pricing and payoff features.
  • A commercial, results‑driven mindset with demonstrated ability to originate ideas, grow client revenues and manage a defined sales book.
  • A strong team spirit and collaborative mindset, with the ability to build trust, share information and work effectively with colleagues across Sales, Trading, Structuring and Support functions.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex products clearly to sophisticated clients and internal stakeholders.
  • A rigorous approach to risk, control and regulation, with a strong commitment to operating in line with Group policies, conduct standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written); any additional language would be an advantage
