What you will do:
The HBCE Compliance Department includes the Financial Crime (FC) and Regulatory Compliance (RC) activities. Financial Crime risk Departement key roles is to define rules and controls enabling to detect, deter and prevent financial crime risks and to oversight and monitor compliance with Group and HBCE requirements.
The Continental Europe Financial Crime Advisory team reports into the HBCE Head of Financial Crime European Union. Its role is to support CIB, covering Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB Banking), Capital Markets and Advisory (CMA) and Markets (MSS) activities, in the prevention and management of financial crime risks by facilitating their embeddedness of rules and controls, supporting them into their daily activities and Business growth to ensure compliance with internal requirements. The team has an oversight role over Continental Europe.
The team is based in Paris and has strong interaction with Compliance teams based in the ten HBCE branches and subsidiaries together with Financial Crime teams base at HSBC headquarter.
In this role you will:
- Support the CIB Business in the embeddedness of HSBC Group and French requirements aiming to prevent financial crime risks
- Design with the FLOD the process enabling to assess and deter bribery and corruption together with Tax evasion risks
- Analyze and assess these risks by providing timely and high-quality advice and guidance to the business
- Act as Risk Steward by helping the Business in the identification of financial crime risks and designing of corrective actions or remediation plans and in following their progress
- Conduct ad hoc controls, participate to audit and Compliance Assurance review
- Support Compliance teams across Continental Europe in providing awareness and leadership
- Participate to AB&C Industry meetings organized by French association dedicated to Markets activities.
You should apply if you have:
- A strong knowledge of French requirements in terms of anti-bribery and corruption
- A solid experience in Compliance or management of risks ideally in CIB sector
- Strong ability to review and digest a significant amount of data
- Proactive mindset and strong collaborative spirit
- Legal/Consulting/Compliance background, a Master 2 in Legal or Compliance or Business Management Schools, Financial/ Banking experience is a must
- Are fluent in French and English
