We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • Define test strategy / test approach
  • Prepare test plan and schedule
  • Design test cases and conditions coverage / traceability matrix
  • Conduct test execution with evidence and progress update report (daily report or weekly report based on need)
  • Drive defect call and align the understanding between engineering, BA/business and testing
  • Provide test completion report / sign-off certification

 

Requirements

  • Clearly and fully understand the business requirement, asking valid questions by applying the knowledge and experience accumulated during the years, well know the definition of done and quality thresholds i.e. severity rules, pass rates, outstanding risks, etc.
  • Try to involve earlier and provide input/delivery earlier, access to code change impact, archtecture solution and upstream/downstream systems dependencies so that testing can be risk-based within limited time and resources
  • Prioritise the backlog/test cases/change request and align with stakeholders such as PM, business and engineering teams
  • Provide realistic testing plan, timeline and resourcing (after align with resource managers) e.g. the timeline should consider function study, test preparation, not just execution, well plan the batches required and prepare data in advance if the data life cycles are very long
  • Make good use of the existing automation framework/tooling to help the teams to improve the efficiency and productivity, have the capability to build new tools (at least simple tools) to improve the productivity
  • Keep strong relationships with teammates and strong partnerships accross different teams
