The Operations & Administration Assistant is responsible for all business and general manager activities for HSBC Insurance Bermuda, for local suppliers and for the overall responsibility for administrative duties within the Bermuda Insurance business. Selectively assist with transactional and organisational support for the business.

 

As our Office Manager Operations and Administration, you will:

 

  • Document management – disseminate information, draft presentations, file and document management
  • Data processing - data entry and basic data analysis
  • Record administration – maintain records, information resources and data sources
  • Co-ordination - coordinate activities, arrange resources, meetings, services and supplies
  • Research - carry out non-specialist research
  • Control - act as a gatekeeper or primary point of contact roles for an area
  • Assist with the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business or geographic area aims
  • Support in business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning
  • Coordinate travel, visits, and team activities and efforts; manage team calendars according to business priorities

 

You’ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

 

  • Experience in the Insurance / Reinsurance sector 
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and adhere to quality standards
  • Strong computer skills, with particular expertise in Microsoft Suite
  • Outstanding time management, planning, and organisational skills
  • Good judgement, including seeking advice and escalating matters where appropriate
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to provide support to other team members
