We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Oversee end-to-end production support, providing cross-application triage, prioritisation, governance, and continuous improvement across hybrid services (cloud and on-prem).
• Act as IT Service Owner, ensuring ongoing attention to and maintenance of IT and business controls, including operational risk management and audit readiness.
• Lead and mature Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) ways of working, including service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), error budgets, incident management hygiene, and post-incident learning.
• Own operational governance to ensure resilience patterns, capacity management, and consistent operational readiness (runbooks, on-call, disaster recovery).
• Drive patching and environment maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to change governance, vulnerability management expectations, and service stability outcomes.
• Strengthen problem management to reduce incident recurrence, ensuring high-quality root cause analysis (RCA) and delivery tracking of preventative actions.
• Coordinate effectively between stakeholders, including business users and Finance Operations, ensuring clear communications, prioritisation, and outcome-based delivery.
• Conduct a monthly review of service resilience metrics, using insights to drive measurable improvements in availability, stability, and mean time to restore (MTTR).
• Proven senior leadership experience in production support and/or service ownership for hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem), with strong governance and prioritisation capability for critical services.
• Demonstrable IT Service Owner mindset, including ownership of IT and business controls, risk management, and evidence-based operational assurance.

• Strong SRE capability, including defining SLIs/SLOs, using error budgets, leading post-incident learning, and managing a reliability engineering backlog.
• Strong IT service management (ITSM) skills across incident, problem and change management, including major incident leadership, structured communications, and actionable RCA.
• Experience planning and executing patching and environment maintenance with disciplined change control, dependency management, and minimal service disruption.
• Ability to manage and report service resilience metrics (e.g., availability, stability, recoverability, alert health), translating them into practical improvement plans.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with a track record coordinating across technology, business users, and Finance Operations to deliver shared outcomes.
• Knowledge of operational governance across hybrid services, including monitoring/observability, capacity considerations, and disaster recovery preparedness.
