Enterprise Risk Management is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC Indonesia with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including climate, sustainability, reputational risk, resilience risk, AI, strategic risk, while also managing risk governance and Data Privacy Officer roles.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Climate, Sustainability and Reputational Risk. The role holder is responsible for supporting the management and embedding of Reputational, Sustainability and Climate Risk in HSBC Indonesia and ensuring adherence to the defined standards as per the appropriate frameworks, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide stewardship over 1LoD activities related to Reputational Risk including reputational risks relating to our Net Zero commitments and greenwashing while contributing to relevant strategic transformation initiatives impacting country.
- Provide advice and support to Business in relation to reputational risks, support senior stakeholder insight and decision making for Reputational Risk, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, and monitor geopolitical risks to understand the impact to reputational risk.
- Support effective Risk Stewardship over 1LoD activities related to Sustainability Execution Risk and Climate Risk in Indonesia, delivering effective Risk Stewardship in line in line with the Risk Management Framework and support improved senior stakeholder insight and decision making for Sustainability Execution and Climate Risk.
- Act as approver for client or transactional clearances as required under Sustainability Risk polices, while ensuring that lending undertaken under Green Sustainability Linked product meets HBID Risk Appetite.
- Provide advice and subject matter advisory support to Global Businesses and Global Functions in relation to sustainability and climate risk, to find efficient and effective ways of embedding Sustainability target and Climate risk into processes, behaviors and assist execution accordingly.
