We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap for IBM Z and IBM i platforms.
- Govern the end-to-end platform lifecycle, from design and implementation through operation, maintenance, and modernization.
- Architect highly available and resilient solutions using Parallel Sysplex, Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex, PowerHA, and Db2 Mirror.
- Establish disaster recovery strategies and lead root-cause analysis for major incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Implement OpenTelemetry standards and enable end-to-end observability across mainframe, middleware, and distributed cloud services.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, and Policy as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and z/OS Management Facility.
- Strengthen platform security through pervasive encryption, crypto-agility, least-privilege access, and quantum-safe cryptography.
- Lead the adoption of artificial intelligence and hybrid-cloud technologies to improve engineering efficiency and workload optimization.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in IBM Z engineering (for example z/OS, Parallel Sysplex, Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex, Workload management, systems performance and capacity analysis).
- Proven capability designing and governing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for critical workloads.
- Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, context propagation, and enterprise observability.
- Hands-on expertise with core middleware and data technologies, including CICS, DB2, MQ, and z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition.
- Practical experience with automation and continuous integration and delivery tools, including Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, and Jenkins.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise security, encryption, access controls, regulatory compliance, and technology risk management.
- Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills in global, multidisciplinary environments.
