We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

  • Work with Product Owners, business users, operations, and technology teams to analyze business needs and translate them into clear requirements, user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, impact assessments, and solution discussions across business, technology, testing, risk, and control stakeholders.
  • Support Core Banking and Payments delivery by clarifying scope, managing requirement traceability, analyzing dependencies, resolving requirement queries, and ensuring delivery teams have a shared understanding of expected outcomes.
  • Partner with architects, developers, QA, DevOps, and support teams to ensure solutions are feasible, supportable, scalable, and aligned with operational and control expectations.
  • Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect triage, release readiness, operational handover, and post-implementation review to ensure delivered solutions meet business needs.
  • Proactively identify requirement gaps, process issues, risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities, and drive timely clarification or resolution.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, including BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process maps, data/interface requirements, decision records, and stakeholder updates.
  • Act as a trusted Senior Business Analyst for Core Banking and Payments stakeholders, bringing clarity, structure, and delivery focus to complex business and technology change.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in business analysis, technology delivery, product analysis, or banking system implementation, preferably in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Banking and Payments domains, including business flows, operational processes, system integration, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, exception handling, and risk/control considerations.
  • Proven experience translating business needs into BRDs, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, data/interface requirements, acceptance criteria, and impact assessments.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, testing lifecycle, release management, production support, and banking technology governance.
  • Experience supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect triage, release readiness, operational handover, and post-implementation review.
  • Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, batch processing, file interfaces, data flows, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
  • Technical awareness of IBM iSeries/AS400, Java, Python, SQL, APIs, or enterprise banking platforms would be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business, technology, operations, risk, and senior stakeholders.
  • Proactive ownership mindset, with the ability to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, control issues, and improvement opportunities early.
