We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities:

• Design robust, resilient and scalable IT solutions and lead full stack engineers to develop and implement IT solutions to meet business users’ requirements.
• Continuously enhance and transform the system to improve system observability, stability and scalability.
• Establish best practices, guardrails, and standards for safe and effective engineering across the technology estate.
• Lead DevSecOps transformation activities to improve OKRs including but not limited to improve release cadence, reduce incidents and reduce TOIL.
• Drive technical capability uplift for the pod members.
• Partner with architecture, SRE, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and support teams to align resilience activities with wider engineering priorities.
• Ensure the IT risk and controls requirements are met.
• Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:

• 8+ years IT experience in system development.,experience in in Financial Risk Management (especially investment banking products and market risk) is a plus.
• Strong business-to-technology translation skills: able to analyze complex problems, gather and refine requirements, and convert them into clear artifacts such as user stories, process flows, system context diagrams, swimlanes, and solution proposals.
• Solid engineering foundation across enterprise and cloud stack: Airflow,Python,Java/Scala, Microservices ,Database and APIs
• Deep hands-on knowledge of container technology Kubernetes/Docker, including deployment behavior, failure handling, scaling, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems (spark or equivalent),failure modes, system recovery, and service resilience patterns.
• Practical delivery and DevOps capability: hands-on with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins and Ansible, plus Agile toolsets including Jira, Confluence, and GitHub.
• Proven leadership in execution: experience leading developers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable changes that measurably improve business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management: fluent spoken and written English, strong documentation, with the ability to influence across engineering teams and key stakeholders
• Demonstrated resilience mindset, with a strong focus on proactive risk reduction and continuous improvement.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Business knowledge in Traded Risk
• Agile or DevOps experience.
• Strong experience with GCP and cloud-native platforms, including operational and resilience considerations.
• Any Open Source project participation or any GitHub or blog publication.
