What you will do:
The GTS Client Manager is a client-facing role and will deliver globally connected, excellent and market leading service to Premium clients. The jobholder is responsible for managing, owning and handling the transactional needs of assigned clients. The role is focused on Core Trade (including but not limited to Letters of Credit, Collections, Trade loan and TradePay) and Guarantees product support. The key areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Deliver Switzerland’s GTS strategy and operating model, aligned with Europe GTS target operating model
- Contribute to achieving the overall business objective of revenue growth through revenue retention, reduced sales time on service, proactive management of GTS service performance and increased clients’ usage of self-serve solutions
- Handle, own and resolve clients’ transactional queries, issues and complaints
- Coordinate with Services (incl. GCS- Global Centre for Servicing), GTS Sales, RMs and other internal/ external staff for service performance and issues
- Provide transactional trade advisory to assigned clients, senior Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Relationship Managers (RMs), and provide input to account planning as appropriate
In this role you will:
- Own and manage day-to-day transactional needs for an assigned portfolio of Premium clients across Core Trade and Guarantees (e.g., Letters of Credit, Collections, Trade loans, TradePay)
- Deliver Switzerland’s GTS strategy and operating model, aligned to the Europe GTS target operating model and coverage model
- Handle, own and resolve client transactional queries, issues and complaints, including recording/tracking and putting preventative measures in place to protect service levels
- Coordinate end-to-end fulfilment and service performance with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., GTS Services/Transaction Services, GSC, GTS Sales, BDMs, RMs, and external parties where applicable)
- Provide transactional trade advisory and guidance to clients and internal partners (BDMs/RMs), and input into account planning
- Drive client adoption of self-serve solutions/tools and support client onboarding/orientation (example: HSBCNet Trade modules and others)
- Support revenue growth and retention by delivering excellent service, reducing sales time spent on service, and providing qualified leads to GTS Sales
- Maintain strong risk, compliance and control discipline, adhering to laws/regulations and Group policies, completing mandatory learning, and contributing to process improvement and operational risk monitoring
You should apply if you have:
- Ability to communicate fluently both verbally and in written form in English. German/French knowledge is an advantage
- Relevant experience in GTS products/ processes and client service (Core Trade and Guarantees in particular) and client service is essential
- Knowledge and experience in GTS products/processes
- High commitment to service excellence and client relationship management
- A passion for serving clients and managing people
- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills
- Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Certificate in International Trade and Finance (CITF) certification is desirable
