What you’ll do:

  • Demonstrate and apply excellent business domain knowledge – Commercial Banking and Trade Finance.
  • Develop and retain a high level of understanding of business and IT systems requirements, to enable appropriate support and guidance to be given to Teams. Coordinate with various participants and teams to prepare test cases, data set-ups and test environments
  • Defines test strategies for global change, champions and directs change implementations to deliver faster and better. Own and standardize test strategy model to ensure different projects / programmes are running the similar approach. Lead functional testing team for SIT, UAT and OAT etc.
  • Provides of test estimates, Test Strategies, risk assessments, scripting and execution so that these are completed satisfactorily.  Ensure that testing adheres to Group and local standards.  Suggest best practices across the SDLC/STLC and assist in implementing them along with standards. Initiate and/or support continuous process improvement to achieve productivity and efficiency gains.  Provide cost benefits as required.
  • Manage all onshore and offshore global testing resources in all testing activities to achieve project goals.  Manage project risks as they relate to quality and mitigate impacts to deliverables
  • Ability to quantify and translate progress, issues and risks into meaningful metrics.  Monitor, drive and report testing progress through test metrics; keep project stakeholders informed of test progress, issues and risks.  Develop and maintain high quality communication and relationships, both internal and external parties. Manage the coordination of communication with virtual teams worldwide.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Software development or test automation using Java.  
  • Experience of working in automation testing for medium to large scale project.   
  • Proven hands-on experience in designing and implementing UI automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium)
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, types, and best practices.  Experience with version control systems such as Git.  
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail.  
  • Experience with API automation testing.  Experience with front end development (springboot, react, angular)

What additional skills will be good to have? 

  • STRONG domain/business knowledge and experience in banking/internet knowledge. Experience in Trade Finance business domain is preferred. 
  • Have a good understanding of the test process and testing knowledge. Good planning skills and quick response for the change. ISTQB qualification is desirable but not essential. 
  • Strong communication skills and documentation skills, Professional in oral and written English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines.  Proactive and attention to detail.  Sense of urgency to solve problems and propose solutions
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with excellent time management skills and strong initiative
  • Experienced in Agile project delivery is an advantage.  Familiar with JIRA/Confluence
