We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

• Turn business needs into epics/features, a prioritised backlog, and crisp acceptance criteria
• Own end-to-end delivery across the SDLC (design, build, test, release and hypercare)
• Be the technical go-to for SQL/database engineering, data modelling and performance tuning
• Build and review Python and Linux Shell solutions to automate ETL/data processing; raise engineering standards and reuse
• Embed controls and NFRs: security, access, auditability, lineage, monitoring, resilience and operational readiness
• Work closely with Architecture/Platform/Controls to stay aligned with enterprise standards and governance
• Drive testing and release readiness: quality gates, defect triage, cutover planning and post go-live stability
• Lead, coach and grow the team (hiring, objectives, performance and career development) in an inclusive way
• Manage vendors/third parties to deliver milestones, quality and commercial governance
• Write clear English updates and decision papers; stay on top of risks, issues and dependencies

Requirements

• Lead end-to-end ETL delivery: requirements, design, build, test, release and production support
• Strong RDBMS/SQL capability: complex SQL, data analysis, performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Hands-on Python for data processing and automation (clean, maintainable, production-ready code)
• Confident in Linux & Shell scripting for job automation, scheduling and incident diagnosis
• Demonstrated technical ownership: able to work independently, drive decisions and manage delivery risks
• Proven people leadership: plan work, delegate effectively, coach team members and manage performance
• Excellent written English: clear documentation, design artefacts, runbooks and senior-ready updates
