Principal responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and hands-on development of high-throughput, mission-critical backend services using Java and the Spring Framework.
• Spearhead the creation of internal developer tools, code generators, and automation frameworks to automate workflows and significantly boost team productivity.
• Apply modern AI techniques, including LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to build intelligent, high-value features into our core products.
• Dive deep into performance optimization, tuning everything from complex database queries (e.g., MongoDB aggregations) to asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka) for maximum scale and low latency.
• Mentor other engineers and drive technical strategy, collaborating with product and business leaders to translate requirements into robust and scalable solutions.
• Own the end-to-end delivery pipeline, championing CI/CD best practices and ensuring operational excellence for services deployed on Kubernetes.

Requirements

• Extensive, authoritative experience in backend development, with deep expertise in Java and the Spring Framework (Boot, Cloud, Security).
• A proven track record of architecting and delivering complex, high-throughput microservices systems in a production environment.
• Strong, hands-on proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and building/managing CI/CD pipelines on a major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• A "force multiplier" mindset, with demonstrated experience building developer tools or frameworks that measurably improved team efficiency.
• Deep practical knowledge of distributed data systems, including messaging queues like Kafka and NoSQL databases like MongoDB (with experience in performance tuning).
• Familiarity with applying AI concepts, particularly building basic Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) flows using frameworks like LangChain.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication, and a passion for mentoring and leading technical teams.
