We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities
Incident management (reactive “keep it running”)
- Monitor alerts/dashboards and respond to incidents (often 24x7 or on-call).
- Triage issues: scope, severity, impacted users, recent changes, dependencies.
- Apply workarounds, rollback changes, restart services, clear stuck queues/batches, etc.
- Coordinate with engineering/L3, infrastructure, DBAs, vendor teams.
- Provide business comms: status updates, ETA, impact, next update time.
Problem management (prevent repeat incidents)
- Drive or contribute to RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
- Raise problem tickets, track actions to completion, and confirm fixes worked.
- Identify patterns: repeat alerts, capacity issues, flaky integrations, data defects.
Production hygiene & operational readiness
- Maintain runbooks/KB articles (known errors, recovery steps).
- Improve monitoring and alerting (reduce noise, catch issues earlier).
- Validate supportability for new releases: logging, dashboards, alert thresholds.
Change & release support
- Support production releases (deployment verification, smoke checks).
- Review changes for operational risk; ensure backout plans exist.
- Coordinate change windows, post-deployment monitoring, early-life support.
Access, controls, and audit
- Follow strict controls for privileged access and evidence capture.
- Ensure incident/change records are complete for audit (timestamps, actions, approvals).
Requirements
- Strong incident triage mindset and calm under pressure.
- Strong SQL programming skill.
- Good understanding of application architecture, integrations, and data flows.
- Hands-on with logs/monitoring tools, SQL queries (where appropriate), batch/queue ops.
- Clear, disciplined communication (especially during major incidents).
- Working knowledge of ITIL (Incident/Problem/Change).
