We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

 

Business: CTO Data Technology  

 

Principal responsibilities

Agile delivery support

•      Support Agile delivery across squads/initiatives, helping teams plan and execute against agreed milestones.

•      Facilitate core ceremonies as needed (e.g., planning, stand-ups, reviews, retros) and promote continuous improvement.

•      Track delivery progress (scope, timeline, risks, dependencies) and keep plans current in agreed tools.

Portfolio / programme coordination

•      Maintain portfolio delivery artefacts: integrated plans, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), actions, decisions, and status reporting.

•      Coordinate cross-team dependencies (technology, change, architecture, operations, vendors) and escalate risks early with clear options.

•      Support governance routines (SteerCo, delivery reviews, checkpoint packs), ensuring materials are accurate and submitted on time.

Stakeholder management & communications

•      Produce concise, factual updates for senior stakeholders, highlighting progress, key risks, and asks/decisions needed.

•      Build constructive working relationships across delivery leads, product owners, engineering, architecture, testing, and operations.

Quality, controls, and operational readiness

•      Promote delivery hygiene: definition of ready/done, backlog quality, acceptance criteria, and traceability where required.

•      Support release readiness activities, including cutover planning, operational handover checkpoints, and post-release lessons learned.

•      Ensure delivery activities align with required control and risk practices (e.g., change management, evidence collection where applicable).

Deliverables / outputs

•      Up-to-date delivery plan(s) and dependency map

•      Weekly/monthly status reporting and governance packs

•      RAID log with clear owners and mitigation actions

•      Ceremony schedule and action tracking

•      Release/cutover readiness checklist and evidence pack (where required)

 

 

Requirements

Essential

•      Experience supporting Agile delivery in a technology environment (Agile/Scrum/Kanban fundamentals).

•      Strong coordination skills: managing actions, dependencies, risks, and timelines across multiple stakeholders.

•      Clear written communication and confident stakeholder engagement.

•      Proficiency with delivery tooling (e.g., Jira/Confluence and/or similar tracking/reporting tools).

•      Familiarity with Financial management processes and controls, including planning/forecasting and cost tracking.

•      Strong analytical skills to reconcile financial/delivery data (plans vs actuals), identify variance drivers, and support decision-making.

•      Analytical mindset with attention to detail; able to turn messy inputs into structured plans and updates.

Preferred

•      Exposure to portfolio/programme governance in a large enterprise environment.

•      Understanding of software delivery lifecycle, release management, and operational handover.

•      Certifications (nice to have): Scrum Master, PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe (or equivalent).
