We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities:

1. Build and maintain Java-based backend services and APIs for Traded Risk data visulization, reporting workflows and service around data visualization.

2. Develop React user interfaces and dashboards that present risk exposure, sensitivities and exceptions clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

3. Design robust data pipelines and service integrations to source, transform and publish accurate risk data for near-real-time and end-of-day reporting.

4. Partner with Market Risk users, product owners and business analysts to shape requirements, acceptance criteria and release scope.

5. Apply engineering quality practices including automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD and observability to improve platform reliability and delivery speed.

6. Embed DevSecOps and risk control requirements in solution design, including access control, auditability, data protection and operational resilience. Remeidate the vulnerability introduced either in the self developped software or the software components the system depends on.

7. Drive incident analysis, root-cause remediation and continuous improvement for production support in a controlled banking environment.

8. Use AI-assisted engineering tools responsibly (for coding, testing, documentation and analysis) to improve team productivity while complying with model governance and data policies.

9. Work with technical leads on system design and enhancement, contribute on driving the future state architecture for system.

 

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:

1. Strong hands-on software engineering experience in Java (e.g., Spring/Spring Boot) and API development (RESTful services, contract-first design, versioning and security).

2. Solid React development skills with TypeScript/JavaScript and experience building maintainable, accessible and performant web applications.

3. Good understanding of data modelling and data processing for reporting/analytics use cases; ability to work with SQL and structured financial datasets.

4. Proven experience working in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban), including iterative delivery, backlog refinement and effective stakeholder communication.

5. Practical DevOps capability: CI/CD pipelines, source control workflows, automated tests, containerisation and production monitoring.

6. Strong awareness of application security and risk control in financial services, including secure coding, secrets management, data confidentiality and audit requirements.

7. Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to diagnose complex production issues across distributed systems.

8. Effective communication and collaboration skills in a global team, with a disciplined approach to documentation and knowledge sharing.

9. Quick learner , other than following keep evolving technology skill, the role also needs to touch on risk management domain knowledge. Proven learn and adopt skill in a dynamic environment will be the key for keeping success in the role.

 

What additional skills will be good to have?

1. Domain knowledge of Market Risk / Traded Risk concepts (e.g., sensitivities, stress testing, VaR, PnL explain) and regulatory reporting context.

2. Experience with visual analytics tooling and dashboard design best practices for risk audiences.

3. Knowledge of event-driven or streaming architectures and caching patterns for low-latency risk data distribution.

4. Familiarity with cloud-native platforms (Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code and site reliability engineering principles.

5. Experience implementing architecture and delivery best practices: domain-driven design, API standards, test pyramid, trunk-based development and feature toggles.

6. Hands-on use of AI engineering assistants with prompt hygiene, output validation, secure usage patterns and productivity measurement.
