We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Business: CTO Infrastructure

Principal responsibilities

Full stack DevOps Specialist engineering includes all infrastructure delivery lifecycle and adopt DevOps & Agile best practices to build the future infrastructure / cloud architecture in CTO Infrastructure.

• Candidate(s) are expected to work effectively to collaborate teams across borders, work effectively under pressure.
• Work with IT team to understand the infrastructure requirement, design the infrastructure architecture, develop technical specification documents and/or conduct delivery accordingly.
• Provision, Deliver and support the IT infrastructure, including order, build, OAT, monitoring, ever-greening, administration, performance tuning etc.
• Apply DevOps practice and tooling in the daily development activities and align to HSBC IT engineering standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
• Candidate(s) would be required to work stream(s) independently in a reasonable timeframe in case of project need.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in infrastructure support, especially Database domain covering DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL. It is better to know with automation tools (AAP, Jenkins, etc) and can automate and optimize the operations using shell/ PERL/python scripts or other tools.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues related to application hosting infrastructure across different environments.
• Significant working experience in software design, development and testing, as well as relevant IT development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; experience of working with diverse teams.
• Strong customer focus and commitment to delivery; Excellent problem solving and User support skills.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English, especially in email communication and reporting.

• Experience on infrastructure as code and end-to-end automation solution is a plus
• Experience on external cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Ali Cloud) design and architect cloud base application is a plus

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
