We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

Principal responsibilities

• Own end-to-end quality delivery for your POD/team: define test scope, plan and execute test cycles, manage entry/exit criteria, and support go/no-go decisions for releases.
• Translate business requirements and user journeys into clear test approaches and traceable test coverage, ensuring gaps and assumptions are surfaced early.
• Lead functional, integration and regression testing across channels and services, ensuring changes are validated end-to-end across dependent systems.
• Manage quality risks and provide transparent reporting: test progress, defect trends, release risk assessment, and recommendations to product and delivery leadership.
• Run defect management and triage: prioritise issues with stakeholders, coordinate investigation, track fixes to closure, and prevent reoccurrence through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive test automation where it adds the most value: define automation priorities, ensure critical regression coverage (API/UI as appropriate), and work with engineers to keep automated suites stable, maintainable and integrated into the delivery pipeline.
• Champion continuous improvement in test practices and ways of working: improve efficiency, strengthen standards, and raise the quality bar through coaching and leading by example.   

Requirements

• Strong experience in software testing, with a proven track record of owning and delivering quality outcomes for complex, multi-component systems
• Demonstrable test leadership skills within a team/POD: ability to plan test activities, manage test cycles, define entry/exit criteria, and support release readiness decisions.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end testing across integrated systems, including managing dependencies, environment readiness, test data needs, and coordinating across teams.
• Working experience with test automation (API and/or UI): able to define what to automate, guide implementation standards, and ensure suites remain stable and maintainable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management: able to make quality risks visible, influence trade-offs, and drive decisions in ambiguous situations.
• Experience working in banking/financial services or other regulated environments is strongly preferred, with awareness of governance, controls and audit/evidence expectations.
