We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities

• The role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
• Own technical delivery of PUMA Core Platform.
• Provide extensive experience in designing and developing of significant applications.
• Adopt Group FSA standard and work with regional architect on architecture alignment.
• Write and own standards, define product change strategies and to reach identified visions.
• Create and contribute to solutions designs and make judgement calls.
• Continuously contribute to code and review other's code for best practice.
• Responsible for automating the continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline
• Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
• Develop business cases benefits of addressing technical debt / platform improvement.
• Communicate clearly, acting as liaison between engineering teams and senior management, translating technical details into business strategies.
• Remove impediments to team's productivity and direct collaboration with Product Owners without the involvement of intermediary roles such as architects, technical leads, business analysts, scrum master and project managers.
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise in an area such as: devOps, security, accessibility, agile, production governance etc.

Requirements

• Candidate should hold a university graduate certificate majored in IT or equivalent experience
• A minimum 12 years of significant hands-on working experience in software requirement, design, development, testing and support
• Proven experience in designing, architecting, and implementing platforms or frameworks
• Solid technical skills in Java, Springboot/Cloud, Typescript/React, Python, SQL is a plus
• Technical experience on shell script, MQ, Docker, Kubernetes. Project experiences on Google Cloud Platform is a plus
• Strong experience on design and implement DevOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipleline with DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc
• Good command in spoken and written English as working language
• Understanding of customer’s needs and delivering excellent services with agile/DevOps manners
• Proactive, self-motivated, independent working ability, high sense of responsibility and a good team player
