The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.
The Senior software engineer, Development role takes responsibility for delivery of ICO and Employer Workplace Solution. The job holder contributes in successful delivery of projects and collaborate with multiple development Pods. The responsibilities entail areas such as requirement analysis, design and development (coding) and technology sharing. The Senior software engineer should be aligned with group standards, IT and business strategy, meet business objectives and satisfy all relevant regulatory, architecture standards and operational risk.
What you’ll do:
• Leadership of the detailed analysis to elaborate business outcomes and translate conceptual business propositions into API product requirements that align with the product strategy.
• Providing subject matter expertise (business, technical, process and integration) for requirements elaboration process.
• Work with related stakeholders like Business analyst, Solution architect, Backend system SME to fully understand the requirement.
• Conduct API design for Experience API/Process API/System API by following WPB API Standard.
• Produce the API contract and API design documentation to reflect new requirements including process flow, logical data model, data mapping, and authentication / security / authorizations / Non-Functional requirement.
• Present the API design to the relevant stakeholder and gain approval on the current design.
• Present the API contract and API design documentation to engineering team, and providing support/consultancy during implementation.
• Maintain JIRA tickets involved in the journey, including requirement front door ticket, implementation ticket, RAID ticket etc.
• Provide governance review to the API changes which owned by the value stream.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or above with Computer Technology-related Major or IT (Information Technology)-related Major
• Have RESTful API working experience and at least 5-years product or API Design experience
• Have technical/development working experience or knowledge background
• Able communicate with English and Cantonese fluently
• Strong project management, time management and problem-solving skills
• Have in-depth experience using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent analytical and communication and negotiation skills
What additional skills will be good to have?
• Test management / project management / scrum master hand-on experience will be a plus
• Working in a global team with different cultures
• Understanding on DevOps would be a plus, e.g. automated build, automated provisioning, automated deployment
• Proved presentation skills in internal or external conference
