We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist.

 

Business: CTO Data Technology

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions.
  • Provide consultancy and technical leadership on data platform architecture, integration, and optimization.
  • Oversee service management processes, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of data services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Develop and enforce data governance, quality, and security standards.
  • Contribute to Continuous Delivery, support team to improve the frequency of release
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to enhance data capabilities.
  • Support incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify potential risks and suggest mitigation plan
  • Participate in knowledge management activities
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers and cross-functional teams.    

 

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skill and experience, including the task and time management skill
  • Strong knowledge on latest data technologies on Hadoop and Public Cloud platforms (GCP & AWS). Includes at least CDC, Kafka, Spark (streaming and batch), Kinesis, Distributed stores (such as HBase, Hive, Presto) and file systems (such as GCS/S3/HDFS)
  • Strong background in service management (ITIL or similar frameworks).
  • Proven solution architecture experience in cloud(GCP/AWS) and on-premise environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead complex projects.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices.
  • Flexible and adaptable in accommodating change of requirement and willing to take new responsibilities when necessary.
  • Ability to work under stress and deliver in a responsive manner.
