HSBC Securities Services (SSv) provides an end to end securities services proposition to asset issuers, servicers, owners and managers across a range of activities including custody, fund administration and corporate trust and loan agency. Servicing c.3,500 clients and employing over 8,000 people globally, SSv is a product line of Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB).
The role sits in HSBC Securities Services Bermuda and will support with third party oversight, business management, operational resilience and oversight of fund administration activity.
The role holder will have exposure to senior management and to a wide range of cross-business/functional teams.
As our Operational Resilience and Support Manager, Securities Services Bermuda you will:
- Support the delivery of country priorities and the implementation of global/region business management initiatives in country
- Be responsible for hosting/participating in a number of governance forums principally related to risk and controls issues
- Be responsible for managing business impact assessments and exercises
- Support documentation, implementation and embedding of new or changed policies and procedures
- Support controls effectiveness testing, audit remediation and Helios updates
- Support the businesses input to the enterprise-wide risk assessment
- Lead governance, monitoring and admin on these matters
- Foster strong relationships across the business and supporting functions
- Challenge the status quo and drive improvements to existing process/practice
- Manage a number of competing priorities without impacting quality
- Deliver high quality output that is recognised by management
- Deal with ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities
- Provide general business management support
- Be responsible and ensure activities are delivered to the highest standard
- Drive and own the projects and initiatives through to completion
You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Strong understanding of HSBC (structure/process) and the Securities Services business/industry
- Experience gained across Operations, Business Management, Risk, Governance type roles
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Flexible, adaptive and responsive
- Planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to demonstrate core behaviours/values of teamwork, focus, drive and determination.
- A strong team player who can work collaboratively across the business, supporting functions and team
