We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Data Engineer with Python

Role Purpose:

The role is responsible for providing engineering area which may include, but is not limited to, data engineering, security engineering, front-end engineering, devsecops, scheduling and user experience engineering.

They may be responsible for supporting platforms specific to a HSBC business area that requires Technology engineering experience; they may be accountable for a product or service within a Development Technology engineering; or they may provide support, design, development, testing, automation, delivery to one or more Technology teams on the area of their Technology engineering."

                       

Main Activities:

• Design, development and maintenance software with the customer/user experience as a key objective

• Actively contributes to Technology Engineering Practice by sharing from their area of knowledge, aligned to best practice and learnings.

• Drives adherence to all standards and policies within their area of Technology Engineering

• Delivery and support of applications related to infrastructure and architecture to optimise data storage and consumption across the bank, including addressing functional and non-functional requirements relevant to data in large applications

• Design and develop applications for internal and external users focussing on the interface and front-end usability of the application

• Adopt and implement security controls for the protection of internal and external systems, networks, products and services

• Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data

• Provide support in post-implementation for resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service.

• Design and implement covering service resilience, service sustainability for all the software solutions delivered, adhered to the change management process.

 

Qualifications Required:

 

•           A wide knowledge of IT Development life cycle.

•           Experience as a Data Engineer or Developer with these techologies: Python, GCP, Migrations, working with ETL-Python, Orquestation Jobs

•           Open Source (Linux, Unix), Shell scripting, SQL, Shells, Control-M scheduler (Optional).

•           Framework practices and way of working such as Agile practice, SCRUM.

•           DevSecOps, Automation processes and tools (E3, ansible, GitHub, Jenkins)

•           Collaboration Tools such as Confluence, Jira, MS Teams, sharepoint.

•           Risk Management framework

•           SW Architecture and Design (Data)

•           IT infrastructure, platform and DB SQL and Big Query

•           Change Management Process.

•           Mexico regulatory requirements in terms of products and services.
