Role Purpose:

Manage Fixed Income Settlement Processing which includes process optimization, improvement and project management.

Lead new products to ensure flow from Client to Front Office to Back Office runs smoothly.

Ensure the daily operations are running smoothly. 

Liaise closely with internal/external clients and overseas offices to ensure all operational issues are addressed promptly and properly.

Ensure internal procedures are complied with Regulatory/FIM requirements and continuously adhered to the required standards and best practices.

Conduct on-going productivity and process reviews to reduce operating cost and improve efficiency. 

Ensure GSC KL team’s performance meet the SLA which includes conducting periodical offshore governance meeting.

Actively engage in New Product Due Diligence and liaise with stakeholders, IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Product Control, etc. to streamline workflow process

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensures appropriate internal controls are in place within the operations area and the procedures are FIM compliant. 
  • Leads and coordinates the operational aspect of projects that are related to securities business.
  • Supports Front Office and overseas offices on daily operations issues or ad hoc queries.
  • Delivers high quality customer services and introduce best practices into the work place.
  • Controls all costs that are spent in operations area.
  • Contributes to new business proposals related to securities business and new strategies.
  • Due to the continued cost saving and requirement more robust control, this individual will need to review the current process for mitigating operational and settlement risk and identify the opportunities to implement improvements.
  • Manage internal inefficiencies and build strong internal network to ensure seamless processes.
  • Manage auditor inquiries effectively and work closely with other teams to ensure timely submission.
  • Work with CCO closely to ensure our KRI daily reports capture daily risks and work on process enhancement to mitigate and risk involved
  • Work as the key member of New Product Due Diligence exercise,
  • Ensure booking and confirmation process meet control standards and efficiency Ensure all our requirement is in place and deliver UAT in a most efficient manner

 

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Japanese language skill is essential
  • +5 years within an investment banking organization
  • Knowledge of securities products (JGB, Foreign bonds, Structured Note etc.) is essential.
  • Experience working as Back Office of securities firm
  • Experience working under the environment where seek for the mind-set of change.
  • Proven experience in change/project management in a growing / evolving business
  • Successful at working with management and senior stakeholders at different levels
