Role Purpose

Act as the Taiwan architecture lead to ensure local, regional, and global technology solutions comply with HSBC architecture standards and Taiwan regulatory requirements. Partner with business, technology, cloud, and architecture teams to deliver strategic initiatives while improving technology resilience and future-state architecture.

Job Contents 

• Lead application architecture reviews with an end-to-end perspective, ensuring compliance with Taiwan regulations and HSBC standards.
• Conduct External Hosting Committee (EHC) reviews for cloud and outsourcing initiatives.
• Partner with regional/global Architecture and Cloud teams to design and implement strategic technology solutions.
• Support Taiwan CIO on Future State Architecture (FSA), technology roadmap, and architecture governance.
• Drive application evergreen, legacy system demise, infrastructure upgrades, and technical resilience initiatives.
• Engage regulators, compliance, business, and transformation teams on regulatory technology requirements.
• Provide architecture guidance for local and global project implementations and regulatory changes.
• Support budgeting, planning, and governance for infrastructure modernization and technology lifecycle management.

Qualification Requirement 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years’ experience in enterprise/application architecture, cloud technologies, and solution design.
• Strong knowledge of Taiwan technology regulations, cloud governance, outsourcing regulations, and information security.
• Experience with application architecture, legacy modernization, infrastructure upgrades, and technology resilience.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms, distributed systems (Windows/Linux/AS400), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and core banking environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Traditional Chinese.
• Knowledge of AI architecture and AI governance is an advantage.
• Relevant professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud Architect, CISSP/CISM, or ITIL are preferred but not mandatory.
