Within CIB, Securities Services provides robust and reliable solutions that help clients mitigate risk and enhance their business performance. Working with institutional investors, banks, insurance companies, governments, and multinational corporations, this team covers fund administration, global custody, sub-custody and clearing, and corporate trust and loan agency services.

Role Purpose 

Support foreign institutional(FINI) clients investing in the local market by promoting HSBC custody and related banking services, ensuring a consistently high-quality client experience across custody products, proactively resolving issues, and driving service improvements, guiding clients through investment approval processes, and providing timely market/regulatory updates. Work closely with internal custody teams and external market bodies (e.g., regulators, exchange, depository) to deliver strong client outcomes while maintaining robust operational and compliance standards.

Job Contents 

  • Serve as the primary contact for all communications with foreign institutional clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service and responsive issue management.
  • Providing a reliable link between the customers and various sections and departments of the Bank;
  • Preparing market news updates and due diligence materials, and contributing content for customer Requests for Proposal (RFPs);
  • Conduct service review with clients, ensuring service quality and customer satisfaction in order to maximize profitability for the Bank.
  • Handle client queries on investment operations, market entry topics, and service matters, ensuring service levels are met.
  • Analyse impacts of regulatory/practice changes on clients and coordinate clarifications with local authorities where needed, and produce market news broadcasts covering regulatory and market practice changes.

Qualification Requirement 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Business, Banking, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10 years’ experience in the securities industry and/or commercial/institutional banking, with proven experience servicing foreign institutional clients.
  • Experience in custody services and/or a client-facing role is an advantage.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
