<Job Summary>

  • Role Purpose:

The role has direct responsibility for aligning the insurance business, products and their local pricing in Country within the parameters of the Group stratey. Ensuring that the local implementation of that strategy locally manifests itself as a proposaiton and wealth-led, customer centric business.

The individual will manage a suite of insurance products across the IWPB range and the business performance of those products with responsibility for leading the synchronization between Country/Region and Grout requirements, in addition to working closely with the local insurance providers and leading the product anagement team. The individual will deliver the P&L as set by Group and Country for sales and retention targets for products Centrol to delivering on these aims is the need to work with all the distribution channels and teams to be successful.

This role is responsible for overall local management of the the reloationship with local insurance providers, product management and pricing influencing the performance of IWPB. It also has responsibility to influence the product range, ensuring Country fit by providing feedback to Group and positioning HSBC for ong-term sustainable grouth and the implementation of Group Strategy.

  • Job Content:
    • Drive a culture of customer journey sesign and adoption in the development of customer solutions and products
    • Build relationships with regulator and other key financial bodies within Country to ensure retulatory compliance with implementing products in Country
    • Interact with senior business managers to identify peer company best-in-class service practices and technologies to improve customer experience
    • Determine the need and monitor our competitive position ersus our peers within the assigned customer segment hrough market research, data warehouse analysis, complaints data and feedback from other business units and line managers
    • Analyse information gathered to enhance the implementation of product strategies locally
    • Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices

 

<Skills Requirements>

  • Language & Culture: Fluent English with experience in working in multinational environments and navigating local culture/global expectations
  • Leadership & P&L: Proven ownership of full bancassurance P&L and demonstrated ability to drive RM productivity across continuum (Retail to Private Banking) and insurance penetration with consistent revenue growth
  • Partnership Management: Experience managing and negotiating with regional/global insurance partners
  • Insurance Expertise with Regulatory & Compliance awareness: Solid understanding of local bancassurance regulations and conduct risk while holding strong grasp of protection, savings, and investment linked product economics
