Foreign Exchange/Money Market Operations Manager-Fixed-term until end of 2026

This team is the backbone of our Global Markets business (one of the largest of its kind in the world) and combines sophisticated 24-hour global coverage with a detailed knowledge of local markets and specialises in foreign exchange, credits and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.

Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post-execution. This team manages settlement activity, risk and control, adherence to regulatory compliance, and seamless operational client service across 58 countries and territories.

The majority of MSS OPS’s customers are foreign institutional investors.There are extensive regulations, complicated restrictions and tight controls governing foreign investments in Taiwan.
In addition, Taiwan’s securities market has a short settlement cycle and heavy penalties. MSS OPS needs to ensure that its operations, systems, and services are the most efficient and effective available. 
At the same time, good contact with the securities industry and the market participants, are essential in protecting clients’ interest and HSBC’s positions, and be on the top of forthcoming development.
Continuous introduction of new securities products and changes in rules mean that new situations do arise frequently.  
The jobholder needs to take frequent decisions under variable pressures and situations.
The jobholder is also required to initiate plan to improve operations efficiency and service quality.

<Skills Requirements>

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
2. Professional knowledge of MSS business
3. Professional knowledge of regulations of in/outward remittance
4. Professional knowledge of international payment processing
5. REATS and local HUB system knowledge
6. Fluent spoken and written English skills
7. GPAD Covered
