Derivative Operations Manager-Fixed-term until end of 2026

This team is the backbone of our Global Markets business (one of the largest of its kind in the world) and combines sophisticated 24-hour global coverage with a detailed knowledge of local markets and specialises in foreign exchange, credits and rates, structured derivatives, equities and debt, equity and equity-linked capital markets.

Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post-execution. This team manages settlement activity, risk and control, adherence to regulatory compliance, and seamless operational client service across 58 countries and territories.

<Job Content>

1. To supervise day to day BAU operational process on global market products with focus on covering broader Foreign Exchange and Derivatives including but is not limited to Rates, Equities, Commodities & Futures, Structured Investment and Central Clearing & Settlement.
2. To ensure all the transactions undertaken are processed, properly documented, accurately recorded, checked and settled in accordance with local regulations and group guidelines, policies and standards.
3. To assess impact and partner with various stakeholders for system testing and change of any process so to secure a robust operational control environment.
4. To assist Operations managers to build the operational procedures in line with the group standard and local regulations so as to accurately reflect the Bank’s total exposure, and ensure settlement can be processed efficiently to a minimal risk standard.
5. To provide client services on any business queries relating to operation process and ensure first class service standard is extended.
6. To drive the digital transformation for reducing or eliminating manual process to achieve process optimizations.

<Skills Requirements>

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
2. Experience and responsibility in Banking
3. Capability of coaching and motivation and set a good example for the working group
4. Superior problem solving and resolution skills
5. Detail oriented with a demonstrated ability for accuracy
6. Good command of English skills and interpersonal communication skills
7. Strong MS PC skills
8. GPAD Covered

<License/Qualification Requirement>

1. Senior Securities license
2. Bill license
3. Internal Control & Internal Audit License
