The position plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management.
The position achieves this by providing operational risk and control expertise, conducting high quality reviews of the bank's control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management.
The tasks for this role may include some or all of the following:
- Responsible for enforcing sales guidelines and sales compliance, monitoring of sales process, and conducting quality control checking
- Managing various sales quality reports
- Developing, maintaining and executing quality assurance programme/procedures for the frontline sales to ensure the Bank's standards are fully complied with
- Cultivating the enforcement of sales compliance fulfilment and sales best practices in the appropriate Global Business Function
- Promoting, fostering and monitoring sales compliance and sales integrity
- Providing recommendations to improve and streamline the operation flow of the front sales office and other relevant business units
- Where necessary, carrying out team administrative roles
- Providing the team management with required management information, in order to inform decision making
- Delivering fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
<Skills Requirements>
- Knowledge of Financial Services/industry/products/regulations
- Good working knowledge and understanding of HSBC PB Sales Procedures and applications
- Risk mindful and Strong analytical ability
- Communicate at multiple levels with confidence (written and verbal)
- Good command in English and Chinese
- Good organizational and influencing skills
- Ability to understand urgency and prioritization
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Chinese typing is preferable
