We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Product Manager, Global Payments Solutions.

 

Drive growth and innovation across HSBC’s Global Payments Solutions (GPS) portfolio in the Philippines by delivering client-centric, innovative, and regulatory-compliant products. The role ensures commercial success, risk discipline, and operational excellence while positioning HSBC as a trusted banking partner for corporate and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial and Product Management

  • Develop and manage GPS products aligned with HSBC’s Product Lifecycle and governance frameworks, ensuring commercial viability and client relevance.
  • Deliver sustainable revenue growth by deepening client engagement, increasing utilization, and strengthening deposit and transaction balances.
  • Build strong value propositions and business cases for new and enhanced solutions across cash management, liquidity, and digital channels.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement tactical and strategic actions to meet annual targets.

Governance, Risk, and Compliance

  • Ensure full adherence to internal risk governance, audit, and product approval processes.
  • Collaborate with Risk Stewards, Compliance, and Legal teams to maintain robust control frameworks and address audit recommendations.
  • Keep abreast of market developments, competitor moves, and regulatory changes (e.g., BSP circulars, Digital payments regulation).

Client and Market Insight

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of customer needs across multinationals, local corporates, and financial institutions.
  • Partner with Coverage, Sales, Implementation, and Service teams to deliver tailored solutions and end-to-end client experience.
  • Leverage market insights and client feedback to guide roadmap priorities and investment decisions.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Foster a high-performance, client-first culture within the Product team.
  • Work closely with regional and local stakeholders across GPS, Markets Treasury, Finance, and Operations to align strategy and execution.

Functional Knowledge and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of transaction banking products across payments, collections, liquidity, and deposit management.
  • Knowledge of local market infrastructure, banking regulations, and corporate treasury operations.
  • Commercial acumen and experience managing product P&L and pricing strategies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with financial models and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and able to collaborate effectively across functions and senior levels.
  • Experience managing product delivery through cross-functional teams (technology, operations, risk, etc.).

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Transaction Banking, Cash Management, or Product Management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product governance, pricing tools, data analytics, and digital banking platforms.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of BSP regulations and global standards applicable to payments, liquidity, and deposits.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize initiatives, and deliver under pressure.
  • Mindset: Growth-oriented, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement and innovation.
