We are currently seeking for fresh talents to join our team as a Retail Banking Academy Trainee.
The Retail Banking Academy’s IGNITE Programme is the Bank’s flagship development initiative designed to create a strong pipeline of future-ready branch leaders. It combines classroom learning, immersive rotations, and leadership mentoring to develop the next generation of Branch Officers equipped with both technical excellence and customer-first leadership. The RBA seeks high-calibre and driven individuals eager to embark on a meaningful career in Retail Banking. Designed to build strong foundations and accelerate leadership growth, this programme offers a fast-track pathway toward becoming a well-rounded Retail Branch Officer, and, ultimately, a future Retail Branch Head.
Principal Accountabilities
- Participate in a 24-month accelerated development programme covering core banking operations, sales, and relationship management
- Complete rotational assignments across Universal Banking (UB), Premier Relationship Officer (PRO), and Branch Operations Officer (BOO) functions
- Demonstrate consistent performance and growth through milestone assessments and KPI tracking
- Exhibit leadership and initiative during branch rotations, foundational training, and customer engagements
- Uphold the bank’s values of service, integrity, and teamwork while cultivating professional and interpersonal skills
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Holding a college degree in, but not limited to, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Mathematics
- Graduated within the last 2 years from recruitment year
- Self-motivated with strong planning, communication, and organizational skills
- Flexible, resilient, and eager to take on new challenges
- Analytical and creative thinker with a growth mindset and customer-centric approach

- The IGNITE Programme is a structured 2-year journey integrating on-the-job training, classroom learning, and mentorship. Participants undergo rotational assignments across key branch functions, develop technical mastery through foundational banking courses, and gain exposure to real-world challenges through immersive experiences.
Learning, Development and Support
- Foundational Bootcamp: Comprehensive training on banking fundamentals, compliance, and customer service excellence
- Rotational Assignments: 6-month rotations across UB, PRO, and BOO roles to ensure holistic exposure
- Mentorship and Coaching: Direct guidance from seasoned Retail Branch Heads and Customer Service Managers
- Leadership Development: Specialized workshops and hands-on assignments to build decision-making and people-management skills
- Performance Evaluations and Check-ins: Regular assessments to track progress and readiness for leadership roles
