We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of GTS Sales Manager (Internal Title), Vice President, Sales (External Title).
The jobholder is responsible for developing, managing, and growing the Global Trade Solutions portfolio through close co-ordination within GTS, WSB, and other departments. The jobholder is responsible for the sales and marketing of the relevant Trade products.
In this role, you will:
- Achieve sales targets
- Maximize profitability from each account in the portfolio
- Ensure product competitiveness
- Foster strong relationships with customers
- Practice consultative selling, implement and design workable, innovative and needs-appropriate solutions for customers
- Conduct workshop, training, and presentations to customers in support of potential business opportunities or to build HSBC thought-leadership in the market
- To implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.
- Mitigate credit risks and safeguard the bank from losses
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- University Degree (BS or BA)
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Trade or Corporate/ Commercial Banking
- Strong knowledge of core trade, supply chain finance, and receivables finance solutions – knowledge of structured trade finance an advantage
- Strong knowledge of credit and risk
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis on influencing and negotiating skills
- Knowledge of the local commercial banking market specifically the local competitive landscape and competitor propositions
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Strong time management, planning, and organization skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling presentations
- Strong understanding of the business trade cycle and the business processes involved in import and export financing
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to interact with customers up to senior or C-suite (e.g. CFO) level
- Ability to manage change
- Ability to understand the fundamentals of our customers’ businesses
