Taking on this newly created role combining sales and bid management for the GTS business, you will manage a portfolio of existing customers with the focus on growing the book, generating sales and increasing revenue, while also being responsible for the end-to-end management of proposals and pitches, including content and market insight management, materials and request for proposal pitch development.
You will be someone who thrives on variety, bringing together your ability to build and maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships with both clients and senior internal stakeholders.
Your energy and drive will be key in this opportunity, combining client-facing sales delivery with a visible, value-adding role in shaping how GTS shows up in the market - helping win strategically important deals while raising the quality and consistency of proposals and pitches across the franchise.
This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a sales portfolio, developing and maintaining a robust pipeline, managing opportunities through the end-to-end sales process.
- Identifying, shaping and executing opportunities to grow GTS revenues and wallet share, including New-to-GTS penetration within existing clients and new business.
- Partnering with Coverage bankers to create differentiated client strategies, including account planning, calling activity, and connectivity to key decision-makers.
- Supporting solution structuring for working capital and trade requirements, bringing trade finance product expertise and commercial judgement to optimise risk/return outcomes.
- Supporting the GTS Sales Directors by leading the creation and project management of proposals and request for proposal (RFP) responses, pitch books, client presentations and other sales enablement materials.
- Running structured end to end bid processes delivering to tight timelines, working with internal stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, compelling aligned with the proposed solution.
- Using AI Tools to bring in data to develop insights on clients, the market, media and the political landscape to create compelling pitch presentations.
- Promotion of GTS capabilities through the creation and management of original and tailored content aligned to strategic priorities, including case studies and sales credentials, thought leadership materials aligned to strategic priorities, deal flashes and award submissions.
- Management of risk and compliance, governance, audit and quality control ensuring adherence to required standards and ongoing management of operational risk in day-to-day activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience delivering sales outcomes in banking/financial services trade finance or working capital solutions.
- Proven capability in proposal writing and sales content development, including RFP responses and client presentation creation.
- Strong project management skills with meticulous attention to detail; able to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders concurrently.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) with the ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate across senior internal stakeholders, locally / regionally and globally.
- Experience utilising corporate AI tools to develop market insights.
- Strategic, customer-centric mindset with strong analytical ability and commercial judgement.
- Knowledge of GTS product and solutions such as global trade, receivables finance, supply chain finance and structured open account solutions.
- Experience working across complex stakeholder groups and geographies.
- A focus on management of risk, compliance and governance.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
