The Manager, Wholesale Financial Crime (FC) Australia and New Zealand is a key risk management role that has a broad remit and responsibilities for providing advice and guidance on all aspects of Financial Crime Risk for the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) business and related product lines in Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of key Risk stewardship activities with respect to Financial Crime Risk controls, issues, actions and events.
- Providing sound Financial Crime advice to Business partners related to CIB products, services, business initiatives and customers.
- Supporting the impact assessment and implementation of relevant regulatory changes.
- Providing Risk Steward review, recommendation and endorsements in line with internal policies and procedures.
- Engaging with key stakeholders to support the management of Financial Crime risks both current and emerging.
- Supporting with the preparation of governance updates across multiple forums.
Requirements:
- Seasoned professional with experience in one or more compliance roles, which includes Financial Crime experience.
- Strong understanding of AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Fraud and Tax Transparency.
- Awareness of key Australian regulatory change initiatives and their impacts on the businesses.
- Lateral thinker with an ability to interpret and solve complex issues. Excellent business judgement and a willingness to exercise it.
- Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings.
- Experience in interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and/or data and provide succinct summary for management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
