In this role, you will be responsible for contributing towards the protection of IWPB (International Wealth and Premier Banking) customers. The role is anticipated to have a key focus on scam prevention, detection and response. This role will drive our Fraud Intelligence capability locally - working on initiatives across fraud and scams disruption, fraud technology design and deployment, industry liaison, along with the provision of fraud advice and SME knowledge across the business to a variety of internal stakeholders. This role will report to the Head of Fraud Management directly. 

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead the detection, disruption and escalation of brand abuse and phishing matters
  • Play a key role in fraud and scam disruption initiatives relating to current and emerging typologies
  • Prepare strategic intelligence reports to provide insights into fraud trends and investigation outcomes
  • Conduct deep-dive intelligence analysis into fraud cases, identifying scope, impact, and perpetrators
  • Drive strategic solutions to mitigate fraud risks and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Play a key role in fraud and scam disruption initiatives relating to new and ongoing typologies
  • Liaise closely with data and analytics teams as necessary

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field.
  • Experience with data analysis software and respective languages
  • Experience with fraud detection and prevention software
  • Experience in fraud analytics or a related discipline highly regarded
  • Experience delivering fraud tools or capability enhancements, realising benefits.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing) as well as developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of an organisation, building engagement and able to present complex information in a structured and balanced manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders with varying degrees of knowledge and expertise in the subject.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
