We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Trainee Trust Administrator

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy team which is at the centre of all operational and transactional activity within HSBC’s Trust operation in Jersey and gain a great understanding of Trust Company Business whilst working for one of the world’s largest and most stable financial institutions.

In this role you will:

  • Prepare basic documents, support routine payments and distributions and act as a signatory when required.
  • Communicate with colleagues and partners across different locations to facilitate the delivery of administrative services
  • Support the client relationship managers with any relationship tasks including account opening, fee billing
  • Maintain client data records and information sources with updated trust account information
  • Assist in the preparation of trust reviews, investment reviews and statutory filings
  • Timely implementation of internal and external issues raised by management, audit and regulators

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Have an interest in trust administration and be willing to learn about trust documents, and legal and tax processes
  • Have good attention to detail and take care when working with information
  • Be able to communicate clearly, both in writing and when speaking to others
  • Be a fast learner with a proactive, positive attitude towards developing new skills
  • Work well as part of a team, with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
